It’s our people who are dedicated to helping our business grow.
— The Green’s
President
Robert Green
Robert has been around the traffic safety industry his entire life. His parents, Sharon and Bob Green, founded Garden State Highway Products, Inc. in 1987, so he became very familiar with the industry at a very young age. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a Minor in Business from Auburn University in Alabama, Robert was given the opportunity to work for Ron Jaworski Management with a focus on productions for NFL Films and ESPN. He also spent time working with the Personnel Department of the Philadelphia Soul AFL team, which is partially owned by Jaworski.
Although the sports industry was a dream field of Robert’s in which to work, deep down Robert always knew that his place was to follow in his parents’ footsteps at GSHP, Inc. Robert worked through the sales, operations, and production ranks at GSHP and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2020. Ever since he was a child roaming the offices and shops of Garden State Highway Products, Inc., Robert had always dreamed of taking the business to the next level and of becoming the largest provider of traffic signs and traffic control devices in the country. He knew that one day, no matter what it took, that those dreams were attainable. Those dreams became a reality in July of 2023, when Bob and Sharon Green decided to retire, and Robert, along with his sister, Stacia Green, purchased and rebranded GSHP into what is now known as National Highway Products, Inc.
His primary goal is to continually increase the overall service level of National Highway Products, while finding new strategies to increase the company’s functionality and marketability. Robert provided insight on the transition from GSHP to NHP in a letter penned to the company’s customer and vendor base. He stated, “Our goal as an organization will remain the same as it was with GSHP, Inc. We will always strive to uphold ourselves to the utmost level of integrity while providing our customer base with an education source for the ever-changing rules and regulations in our industry. Our manufacturing and distribution capabilities will be unaffected by this transition, and we look to begin expanding our capabilities both for manufacturing throughput and for inventory warehousing. The most important part of this equation is our team. Although my parents are retiring and will not be a part of our next chapter, the rest of our team will remain the same. We are so very proud of the growth and capabilities of our staff members, and I know that the future is bright for National Highway Products, Inc. in most part because of the amazing team members we have here that will help lead this organization into the future. As their leader, we will never be shy to invest in their growth, whether through knowledge and training experiences or through equipment, to help them become more efficient to better help serve the needs of our customers and vendors – now Nationwide!”
Outside of the office, Robert loves to spend his time at the shore or on the golf course. He also enjoys traveling the world to learn about other cultures, and truly believes that “the beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people.“
